Journey Hostel - Tainan

We loved our stay at Journey! The location was fantastic, just a 6-minute walk from the train station. The interior was cozy and beautiful, and our room wasvery comfy and tidy. Although the walkway was tight with our bigger bags, we enjoyed the comfortable beds and good natural lighting.

The location of this spot is super convenient-just a hop away from the train station and loads of historical sites! The common area is really cozy and stylish, perfect for chilling or meeting fellow travelers. I also loved that there was a good amount of locker space in the dorms, which made it easy to store my stuff securely.

But man, the soundproofing was terrible. I heard every little thing from the bathroom next door, and it kept my parents awake. the doors were super loud when opening and closing, which can be annoying late at night. The cleanliness of the facilities could use some work too, but I guess that’s partly on the guests.

The decoration in this hotel is simply charming! The common areas were so beautifully designed with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. As a senior woman, I truly appreciated the thoughtfulness put into making the hotel accessible for people of all ages. The corridors were wide and well-lit, making it easy for me to navigate without any trouble. I was also pleasantly surprised to find handrails in some of the areas, providing that extra bit of support that I sometimes need. It's clear that the hotel understands the needs of senior guests and goes out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay.

The only thing I would ask for to make the vacation even better for senior people is if the children working there could provide a bit more assistance with luggage. As a senior, it can be a bit challenging to carry heavy bags, and having a helping hand would have been greatly appreciated.

I keep coming back to this place because it feels like home. The staff helped me find my lost ID card, making a great first impression. The hostel has everything I need: Wi-Fi, electric kettle, shared kitchen, and air conditioning. Can't wait to come back for Christmas!

The location was mind-blowing, super close to the train station and various nice places in the city are also within walking distance. The interior of the common area was jaw-dropping, soooo pretty and cozy! The locker space in the dorm rooms was ample and convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. an amazing stay!

It is worth noting that the area surrounding Journey Hostel can be quite bustling and slightly noisy. Fortunately, the hostel values their guests' comfort and provides earplugs to mitigate any disruptions.

I got great value for my money at Journey Hostel. The room was clean and cozy, and the location was excellent with lots of local eateries and shops nearby. The staff treated me kindly and even let me use the shower before my bus ride home.
